Have you ever had a hard time finding products you can relate to and are proud to own?
Binge Knitting creates high-quality handcrafted accessories that have a story of empowerment behind them. The handmade accessories brand was born on a New York winter season, co-founded by two Mexican design students at Parsons, The New School for Design.
Barbara Bremer and Carolina Herrera have always had a fascination for the handmade, and avid knitters themselves, they started out by creating cold-weather accessories for their close friends in the city. As their need to create increased with each stitch they took, their desire to influence a more sustainable and ethical fashion industry grew as well. They believe the fashion supply chain should be transparent and working conditions in manufacturing should be kind.
Today, Binge collaborates with female artisans in Mexico, the founders native country where they are now based. The brand has also expanded its product line to include unique handbags made from upcycled materials and handcrafted leather sandals. What started out of a mid-town New York apartment has now grown into an evolving community of makers with the power to make a positive change.
